It is an exciting day for Mac users now that OS X Mountain Lion is available from the Mac App Store.
VMware is the global leader in virtualization software, providing desktop and server virtualization products for virtual infrastructure solutions. Note: Important information regarding the use of Download Manager with certain Browser and OS combinations. VMware highly recommends the use of the manual download option for users of Windows 2012 with Chrome 41.0.2272.89m or Firefox 36.0.1, and Windows 8.1 with Firefox 36.0.1, Chrome 40.0.2214.115 m or IE 11.0.9600.
One of the great new features in Mountain Lion is Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper verifies the identity of the developer of Mac software downloaded from the Internet and requires that developers sign their software to ensure that the software is not malicious and has not been tampered with.
I am happy to report that the VMware View Client 1.5 for Mac just works with Mountain Lion. It is already signed and is compatible with Gatekeeper.
For weeks, we have been testing the VMware View Client 1.5 on the OS X Mountain Lion GM seed and it works great. Take advantage of Full Screen mode to run your View Desktop and then swipe back and forth to Mac apps as needed.
We are excited that OS X Mountain Lion is here and that our current VMware View Client for Mac is fully compatible.
You can download the current VMware View Client for Mac from the View Client downloads page.
After you deploy the vSphere Integrated Containers appliance, you download the vSphere Integrated Containers Engine bundle from the appliance to your usual working machine.
The vSphere Integrated Containers Engine bundle includes:
vic-machine command line utility, that you use to deploy virtual container hosts (VCHs) and manage their lifecycle. Prerequisites
| Platform | Supported Versions |
|---|---|
| Windows | 7, 10 |
| Mac OS X | 10.11 (El Capitan) |
| Linux | Ubuntu 16.04 LTS |
The vic-machine utility has been tested and verified on the operating systems above. Other recent 64-bit OS versions should work but are untested.

Procedure
In a browser, go to the vSphere Integrated Containers appliance welcome page.
You can specify the address in one of the following formats:
https://vic_appliance_address:9443
The first two formats redirect automatically to https://vic_appliance_address:9443. If the vSphere Integrated Containers appliance was configured to expose the file server on a different port, the redirect uses the port specified during deployment. If you specify HTTPS, you must include the port number in the address.
Result
When you unpack the vSphere Integrated Containers Engine bundle, you obtain following files:

| File | Description |
