MacOS Catalina (10.15) introduced added security features that require additional permissions for using the full feature set of GoToAssist Remote Support v5. In order to be able to remote control your customer's Mac running macOS Catalina (10.15) or above, instruct them to perform the following steps. To remove malware, users are encouraged to download and install GoToAssist so that scammers can connect to their computers remotely and 'help' to remove detected malicious software. Typically, scammers perform fake scans and try to sell various computer protection packages, which usually cost in the of region of $200 and $1000. Download and Install GoToAssist Expert Desktop App (Mac) When you download the GoToAssist Expert desktop application (so that you can host support sessions), an installation package (including the GoTo Opener application) will be downloaded onto your computer.
